Joseph P. Battaglia, President
Prior to forming Renaissance Communications in 1992, Joe was vice-president of
Communicom Corp. of America, parent company of WWDJ/New York, WZZD/Philadelphia
and KSLT/San Antonio. He was with Communicom for over 18 years, eight as General
Manager of WWDJ, the company's flagship station.
Highly active in the religious broadcasting and Christian music industries, Joe
was on the board of the Gospel Music Association (GMA) for 19 years, the
Eastern Chapter of the National Religious Broadcasters for 10 years, and served
14 years as the chairman of the National Christian Radio Seminar (NCRS).
Also, Joe served 5 years on the Christian Music Trade Association Board and
continues to serve on the board of the Walter Hoving Home.
Joe attended Boston University, graduating magna cum laude with a Bachelor
of Science in Journalism in 1972. He put his background to quick use by starting
Alternatives, the first Christian publication for the New York metro market,
in 1973. Additionally, Joe is the author of A New Suit for Lazarus, published
by Thomas Nelson, Nashville, TN.
Whenever he alights from his frequent travels, Joe lives in Wyckoff, NJ, with his
wife LuAnn and their thirteen year-old daughter, Alanna. |
Wendy Bucceri, Project Manager/Client Service
A veteran Project Manager, Wendy handles many of the increasing number of special
projects we have undertaken. Among her on-going assignments are coordinating and
promoting live special events for various clients, and radio promotion for Food
For The Hungry’s “Adopt A Community” concerts. In previous years, Wendy coordinated
all the National Christian Radio Alliance (NCRA) functions during Gospel Music Week
as well as overseeing the ticket sales and promotion for our Live From The Lamb’s
concert radio series, and coordinating the annual Mercy Corps Radiothons. And
because she is so together, Wendy is always the choice contact for client service.
Before Renaissance, Wendy was the Promotions Director for WWDJ/New York. With WWDJ
for over fourteen years, Wendy started part-time in the music research department,
later moving up through the sales ranks to general administration and later to
Promotions Director. In this capacity, Wendy coordinated special events and on-air
promotions, produced station communications, and was local pastor and ministry liaison.
Perhaps her most demanding assignment was that of producer for WWDJ's highly successful
Christian music festival - Big Splash, held annually in Ocean Grove, NJ.
Wendy and her husband Ray live in River Edge, NJ with their twelve year-old daughter, Amanda. |
Joe Silvey, Production/Design/Syndication Services
Joining Renaissance in 1996, Joe came on board to augment our efforts in radio production,
desktop publishing, project management and voice-over work. Prior to his work with the
Renaissance team, Joe was a full-time student at Greenville College in southern Illinois.
We came to know Joe through the late Bob Briner, noted television executive, author and
speaker. In his senior year, Joe worked with Briner as production liaison and co-host
for Briner's nationally syndicated radio show, Roaring Lambs — produced by Renaissance
Communications. Bob was impressed with Joe ... and so were we. Joe graduated cum laude
from Greenville in 1996 with a BA in Mass Communication.
Currently, his work for Renaissance includes desktop design/publishing for all our
projects, coordinating on-air promotions for new video releases and special events for
Big Idea, overseeing syndication of all other nationally broadcast radio specials, studio
production, copy writing, and administration of the office’s computer systems.
Joe resides in North Haledon, NJ with his wife, Naisha. |
Lyn Tetro, Business Manager
With over 20 years of business experience, Lyn began working for Renaissance in April
of 1996 to assist with some of the general business needs of the office. Then, in
June of 1997 she became a regular part-time member of the Renaissance team as our Business
Manager. Her main responsibilities include coordinating company billing, managing our
various business accounts, and maintaining our current office files and archives.
To put her exceptional and thorough organizational skills to further use, Lyn has
also handled some project management duties, including our past work with the National
Institute for Healthcare Research (NIHR).
Lyn graduated from Philadelphia College of Bible in 1975 with a Bachelor of Bible degree,
and a minor in Christian Education. She now telecommutes in her work for Renaissance as she
resides with her husband René in Abingdon, VA. |
